Focus on texting may be taking attention away from driving dangers that are much worse. Many states have laws against texting while driving or they are working to pass this type of law here in 2011. You may be surprised to learn, however, that federal and auto insurance industry-funded research as yet shows no link between texting and more crashes. We are not saying that is isn’t a distraction, we are just relaying what the research shows.
